Matthew Smallwood

Matthew is a Managing Partner and one of the original founders of Instinctif Partners. He has over 30 years’ capital markets experience, firstly as a market maker, followed by over 25 years at Instinctif Partners during which time he has developed an exceptional ability to support his clients’ investment cases through working with the business media and sell-side analysts across all channels. Matthew is a consumer sector specialist; there are few corporate situations which he hasn’t experienced. This includes hostile situations, IPOs, M & A, crisis management and general strategic counsel. He has worked with some of the highest-profile companies including ASOS, The Stars Group (acquired Sky Betting), The Restaurant Group, Marston’s, wagamama, Yo! Sushi, David Lloyd Leisure, The Gym Group, Findus, Travelodge, Parkdean Resorts and Shepherd Neame to name a few.
