Instinctif Partners Joins The 5% Club
International business communications consultancy Instinctif Partners has become the latest member of The 5% Club, a movement of companies providing ‘earn and learn’ opportunities to individuals entering the UK workforce, who are looking to develop their skills to create meaningful careers. In joining, companies commit to at least 5% of their UK workforce consisting of apprentices and recent university graduates. Instinctif Partners is the first company in their space to sign up to the movement.
The 5% Club was founded in 2013 to address the issue of poverty arising from high youth unemployment and a skills shortage for the workplace. Current members span a range of industries and businesses, including the Ministry of Defence, KPMG, PwC, Rolls-Royce, Heathrow and Redrow. Upon signing the charter, members set a target that at least 5% of their UK workforce will be apprentices, graduates on formal programmes, or sponsored students within five years of joining, demonstrating their commitment to supporting new careers of young people.
This week is National Apprenticeship Week and on Friday, March 9th Instinctif Partners is hosting an event in conjunction with The 5% Club, with Sue Husband, Director of the National Apprenticeship Service (part of the Dept. for Education).
Richard Nichols, CEO, Instinctif Partners, said: “We pride ourselves on our ability to bring together the diverse minds of people who have a breadth of experience and backgrounds to solve our clients’ challenges. In joining The 5% Club, we hope to lead by example, enabling other businesses to recognise the value this organisation creates. We are proud to be investing in the next generation of talent and supporting those making their first career steps is a priority for the business.”
Lady Cobham CBE, Director General of The 5% Club commented: “We are delighted to welcome Instinctif on board as the latest member of The 5% Club. We now have more than 270 members from across a wide range of sectors and all sizes of business. It is fantastic to have an international business communications consultancy join us and we look forward to working with Instinctif and hearing from Richard at our event on 9 March.”
Instinctif Partners is delighted not only to have joined The 5% Club but to have already hit its 5% target number of individuals on apprenticeship schemes and in graduate roles in its UK workforce. Instinctif Partners will report annually on its continued progress towards these goals. Full details about the movement can be found at 5percentclub.org.uk.
