How do we engage stakeholders and raise your profile ahead of an IPO?
Razer, the world’s leading lifestyle brand for gamers dual-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, was preparing to list on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. Our task was to support their flotation by engaging their stakeholders in Greater China and raise their corporate profile in the investment and media communities.
In the six months leading up to the IPO, we developed a multi-channel communications programme to position Razer’s co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan as a clear industry thought-leader through high-profile interviews and speaking opportunities. We also promoted Razer’s media activities including a store and smartphone launch.
Razer was successfully listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in November 2017, achieving a market capitalisation of $4.4 billion in a significantly oversubscribed IPO. Our communications strategy secured over 1,000 pieces of positive press coverage, including in top-tier global media, helping Razer engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders.
