How can we engage local stakeholders in a widely disputed redevelopment project?
To secure planning permission for the redevelopment and refurbishment of areas around high profile rail stations in South London, and to engage with local stakeholders, communicating the redevelopment projects.
We devised, planned and implemented engagement programmes as part of an integrated media communications plan. Throughout the process we worked with tenants, local authority politicians and officers and business stakeholder groups. We implemented crisis communications and planning around the Brixton Arches redevelopment.
The application for planning permission required for the redevelopment was successful. The negative sentiment and coverage following a critical article in the Evening Standard was minimised as a result of thorough crisis planning.
