To conduct a six-country perception audit of the company across all of the group’s key stakeholders.
We identified Illovo’s key stakeholders in Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique and Swaziland. These were representatives from national, provincial and local governments; media organisations; regulators, NGOs; multilateral organisations and employees. We drafted specific questions, and conducted telephone interviews.
Quantitative and qualitative data was collated and stakeholders were prioritised according to power and influence. This resulted in the creation of a comprehensive communications and stakeholder engagement strategy, which is now being implemented.
