What The West Can Learn From Jugaad Innovation

Truth will be hosting a special event on Jugaad Innovation on 17th September featuring Dr Jaideep Prabhu.

Western corporations can no longer rely alone on the traditional formula that sustained growth for decades: top-down strategies, expensive R&D projects and highly structured innovation processes. The Jugaad innovation mindset argues that the West must look to places like India, China, and Africa for a new, bottom-up approach to frugal and flexible innovation. Truth works at the intersection of culture and commerce to create change, specialising in brand, innovation and business strategy. We believe passionately in the importance of cultural insight to drive fresh ways of thinking and operating. And we believe Jugaad Innovation offers powerful inspiration across sectors.

About Dr Jaideep Prabhu
Jaideep is Jawaharlal Nehru Professor of Indian Business and Enterprise and director of the Centre for India and Global Business at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. A highly engaging public speaker, he is co-author of Jugaad Innovation, which has been described by Renault-Nissan’s CEO Carlos Ghosn as ”a provocative and entertaining read for 21st century business leaders”. He will shortly publish a follow-up book on how we can learn from frugal innovation in the West.
