Senior Managing Partner Warwick Smith awarded PRCA Fellowship
Warwick Smith, Senior Managing Partner of Instinctif Partners’ global Public Policy practice, has been named a Fellow of the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA). He has received his fellowship on the back of the work he has done to integrate the PRCA and the Association of Public Policy Consultants, following their recent merger.
Warwick joined Instinctif over twelve years ago to establish the Public Policy practice. He advises a range of clients on domestic and international legislative, regulatory and public policy issues. Prior to joining the public affairs industry, Warwick was in UK government service for 16 years as a policy adviser, ministerial aide, and international negotiator.
He said: “I am delighted to be honoured by the PRCA in this way. It is humbling to be recognised by the industry which has given me so much satisfaction over the years. But I also see it as endorsement of the views I have long held and frequently espoused that public affairs practitioners and lobbyists bring much to public life, guiding our clients or employers through the political maze, and helping governments and regulators take better informed decisions.”
He continued: “Our activities must be properly regulated, and I am delighted that the recent merger between the APPC and the PRCA means that ever more practitioners now fall within the Association’s Code of Conduct. It all bodes well for the future.”
Fellows of the PRCA are encouraged to help shape the thinking of the future of the communications industry, and are invited to join on the unified recommendation of the Chairman of Fellows, the Board Chairman, and the Director General.
