Victoria Cross chosen to judge ESG Awards 2021
Instinctif’s Head of Resilience and Managing Partner, Victoria Cross who leads the firm’s Reinventing Responsibility sustainability and ESG service, has been selected as one of the judges of the inaugural ESG Awards 2021.
The ESG Awards showcase the best ESG performance in line with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals and will shine a light on transparency, excellence and progress on the ambitious movement, which has the potential to transform modern capitalism.
Victoria Cross, Managing Partner, said: “ESG impacts every company of every size in every sector but clearly in different ways. So, I’m thrilled to join the judging panel of the ESG Awards and am looking forward to discussing the shortlisted entries with the other judges. The bar is getting higher and higher and very quickly we are seeing best practice move on and what was differentiating six months ago becomes also-ran.
“Strictly speaking the discipline of ESG involves preparing investor-focused information & data on financially-material ESG risks and opportunities. However, the dial has now fundamentally shifted and understanding ESG is no longer the job of data immersed analysts alone, or, within the communications world, is it within the remit of Financial PRs alone. This presents all communicators with an opportunity to not only be aware of its implications for all audiences but to be an owner and driver of ESG business strategy.”
Effective engagement to create positive change and transparent communication which balances the needs of a wide variety of stakeholders is fast becoming a crucial part of ESG. The awards will create a competitive and transparent forum for companies to compare and celebrate their ESG improvement and performance against their peers.
Instinctif Partners’ Reinventing Responsibility offering helps organisations take a systems approach that puts people, the planet and long-term value creation at the centre of their business strategy. With services spanning three core pillars including strategic development, stakeholder engagement and reporting and disclosure. The approach to each element is always be set in a wider stakeholder context, grounded in richly insightful perspectives across its blended team.
