Instinctif appoints new head of global public policy practice
Managing Partner Lucy C. Cronin has been appointed as the new head of our global Public Policy practice, replacing Senior Managing Partner Warwick Smith. Lucy has been running our Dublin office for the past six years, before which she ran the Brussels office, and will be taking on the role as Warwick moves to an advisory position within the team following 12 years of team leadership.
Lucy has been active in government affairs for over 20 years and has a proven track record for implementing successful lobbying campaigns at both EU and national levels. She initially managed Instinctif Brussels after her business Policy Action was acquired by Instinctif, before moving to establish the office in Dublin in 2013. The 50+ clients with Instinctif’s Dublin team include Google, Verizon, Dropbox, Chubb Insurance, CPL Industries and Dogs Trust, amongst others. She will now become Senior Managing Partner and join the group management board.
Lucy C. Cronin, Senior Managing Partner, said: “Warwick has made an enormous contribution to the Public Policy practice over the last twelve years, and I am excited to now be leading our incredibly talented team. We have so much to offer our clients across the globe and I am looking forward to building on our success”
Warwick Smith, Senior Advisor, said: “I have immensely enjoyed the past twelve years leading the Public Policy team, and I am glad to now be handing over management of the team to Lucy. She is a brilliant team leader and has ambitious plans for the development of the practice. I look forward to continuing to work with her in her new role.”
Tim Linacre, Group Managing Director, said: “Lucy has grown the Dublin office from scratch to a team working with some of the largest businesses in the world, and now brings her expertise to the wider public policy team based in London, Brussels, Berlin, Dubai, Johannesburg and Hong Kong. My deep thanks go to Warwick for all of his efforts on behalf of the firm. I am delighted that he will take on the role of Senior Adviser, and continue to advise a select handful of clients, the Public Policy practice, the firm and me – I am particularly pleased that I will continue to benefit from his wise counsel.”
