Emily Luscombe Appointed to 2021 PRCA Council
Instinctif Partners’ Client Services Director Emily Luscombe has been elected as a member of the 2021 Public Relations and Communications Council for her third consecutive year. The PR and Communications Council provides a formal mechanism for the industry’s most senior practitioners to consult on the key issues impacting PR and communications. The Council – which acts as a think-tank for the industry – informs the PRCA’s strategic priorities and delivers best-practice guidance for professionals
Emily joined Instinctif earlier this year to take up the role of Client Services Director within the business’s UK Corporate and Capital Markets practice. Emily has 20 years’ experience of advising industry leaders, challengers and disrupters on protecting and promoting their reputations and building brand engagement. In her previous role, she ran corporate, b2b and technology practices, with cross-agency responsibility for client services and operations. Emily was first elected to the PRCA Council in 2018.
Emily said: ‘“I see this as my opportunity to help raise the bar for public relations – prove its business value, heighten its relevance, and to increase its attractiveness as a career of choice. I want to help make this an industry that is reflective of the diverse cultures and attitudes our clients need to engage with.’’
The PRCA is currently the world’s largest PR professional body, with the membership of over 35,000 consultants from across the world, including leading European companies and UK public sector organisations, as well as hundreds of public relations, communications and media professionals.
