Reinvigorating a corporate narrative to drive investor engagement

Challenge
Like many SA Real Estate Investments companies, Octodec was impacted by the pandemic, which saw the merging market fall out of favour with local and global investors.
The Board and Management of Octodec sought to implement a holistic financial PR and strategic communications campaign in order to bolster awareness, drive share price appreciation and grow their retail shareholder base.

Result
Octodec’s refreshed narrative communicated together with their year-end results achieved a significant increase in participation rates for the results webcast, a group call hosted by Anchor Stockbrokers, and one-on-one meetings held as part of the roadshow.
The new narrative was amplified at and after results using extensive media interviews, multiple industry-related conferences, distribution of press releases to a 40+ publication media database, as well as bite size messaging around results, new tenants and ESG on social media to keep Octodec top of mind for investors across all channels.
Collectively these efforts supported the 41.2% increase in Octodec’s share value.
