How did we introduce a private company to the public markets?
Instinctif Partners was asked to provide advice and execution for the IPO of THG, the Manchester-based ecommerce giant. The key challenge was to ensure the company’s investment case was communicated clearly to all key audiences to ensure a successful share offer and debut on the London Stock Exchange in what was a key development in the company’s history.
Instinctif Partners worked with THG to prepare the company for the IPO, identifying key issues and creating a detailed strategic communications plan that ensured the global offer was well received and the company’s business model was well understood and appreciated.
THG’s IPO in September 2020 became the UK’s largest ever tech IPO and the largest IPO of any kind since 2015. It was heavily over-subscribed and successfully raised £1.88bn and the company debuted on the London Stock Exchange Main market with a value of £5.4bn.
Matthew Moulding, Founder, Chairman and CEO, said: “THG’s IPO is a significant step forward for the company and the start of an exciting period of further growth and development. Instinctif Partners has provided us with expert counsel and execution for the IPO process and preparation for our new status as a public-listed company on the London Stock Exchange Main market.”
