Instinctif Partners named first strategic communications partner for Innovation Zero


Challenge
Innovation Zero, the world’s largest Net Zero Congress, wanted to establish the conference as a key platform for accelerating the transition to a low carbon economy. Instinctif Partners were tasked with elevating the profile of the conference with pre-event thought leadership content and driving event media coverage.
Action
We produced and launched a new podcast series – Zero In Conversation (hyperlink) – featuring 14 episodes of engaging conversation with policymakers and business leaders driving the journey to a low-carbon future. We researched key spokespeople, drafted a thematic editorial calendar and interview questions and managed recording and production in our London and virtual podcast studios.
We drafted and distributed 6 pre-event and event press releases, liaising with speakers and exhibitors to source spokesperson availability and embargoed news. We worked with Space4Climate to launch the UK’s first biomass climate satellite live at the event, resulting in a tier one interview with Reuters.
Result
Zero In Conversation resulted in 413 downloads across 33 countries, performing above average for a new podcast series.
Our media relations experts secured attendance of 76 journalists, facilitated 29 on-site media interviews and secured 106 pieces of coverage, spanning broadcast, national and trade media reaching 370m + readers across 15 countries.
Together with Innovation Zero, we used strategic communications to put a spotlight on how we can forge a pathway towards net zero.
