Technology, Media and Telecommunications team

We provide strategic counsel to a range of international TMT companies, with a client roster that spans the sector and includes substantial, listed businesses with global reach as well as unlisted companies with disruptive solutions and rapid growth potential.


We understand the complex range of audiences that business need to reach and that is why we have advised on a number of transactions – including IPOs, M&A and fund raising – and a range of special situations.


We also work with a number of unlisted businesses in the TMT sector to develop their corporate profile and positioning through content creation and engagement with key stakeholders, including customers, shareholders and staff.


Our strategic counsel is informed by a deep understanding of the sector, international financial markets and the global media landscape.



Role Overview

We are looking for someone to join our team to support the day-to-day management of a portfolio of clients, from listed to private growth companies, and participate in generating new business opportunities, including playing an active role in developing proposals and pitches.


The role will incorporate both financial and corporate PR support, including managing routine financial calendar work, media management, sell-side analyst engagement, as well as thought leadership and profile-raising initiatives.


Our well-respected TMT team at Instinctif is seeking to recruit a bright, enthusiastic candidate to assist the team and further its growth. We are a successful, busy, hardworking, but fun team acting for companies that span the full range of the TMT sector, including disruptive AI driven businesses, listed tech and media companies and overseas telecommunications providers.


Current clients include: Future, TalkTalk, Kcell, SMS, WaveOptics, Zzoomm, Featurespace, and StatPro.




  • Provide advice to clients on day-to-day communications
  • Support clients with financial calendar disclosure
  • Prepare written materials that may be of key commercial or highly sensitive nature
  • Pitch stories to business journalists and trade media
  • Develop thought leadership content on behalf of clients including insight pieces, opinion editorials and blogs
  • Draft complex announcements (such as results statements) to a high standard
  • Assist in drafting new business proposals and initiate new business approaches
  • Develop a network of analysts, brokers and bankers to seek new business leads
  • Build relationships within the wider Instinctif Partners group and work with other parts of the business
  • Give final approval of work produced by more junior team members, providing feedback and coaching as applicable
  • Develop and execute creative ideas to support clients’ business objectives
  • Manage client / media calls or meetings
  • Support and advise clients on digital presence including best practice (e.g. social media posts and website copy)



Required Skills & Experience

  • Around 5 years relevant experience in communications in an agency or in-house role or as a business / trade journalist.
  • Ideally educated to degree level in any discipline.
  • Core competencies in word, power point and excel.
  • Knowledge of the TMT sector is desirable but not mandatory – however, an appetite to learn about the sector is essential.
  • Likewise, experience in managing financial communications is certainly a plus. However, we are happy to consider candidates experienced in corporate communications who are keen to develop their understanding of financial markets communications.
