Quant director

Background and overview of Role:

At Truth, we have been successful at growing our business and brand to solve the most challenging business problems and questions. This is often why our clients seek us out, as well as return to us. While we are fortunate at Truth to receive briefs from some of the largest and leading businesses around the world – helping them address their most meaty and thorny business issues in relation to brand, product, category, innovation, creative development and customer exploration – we are always striving to be better and do more.


Truth has a strong quantitative team, most of whom have grown with the business.  We are specialists in segmentation and have our own in-house analytics capability.  We are now looking for a senior quant-led director, who is able to help drive the significant growth opportunity that we know is there.  With this in mind, we would like to bring in a senior director with strong quantitative expertise and experience to help us build and drive this part of our offer. As part of this, we expect the successful candidate to have existing client relationships that they will be able to leverage to help generate incremental revenue for Truth.

Together these allow Directors the space, support and expertise to help them focus on their role: growing clients, growing teams, doing great work and helping maintain and grow Truth’s culture. This is a really exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who has entrepreneurial flair and is ready for the next move in their career. They will play a critical role as part of the senior management team, influencing decision-making on all aspects of the business, beyond our quantitative capabilities.


Key skills and experience:

  • Autonomously driving client relationships, account building and generating revenue. Directors are expected to manage a number of key client relationships
  • Strong client relationship building and management
  • Strong leadership and direction of projects; with the ability to influence and lead a team
  • Strong understanding of methodology and new/emerging approaches and techniques i.e. adept at quantitative research approaches and ideally knowledgeable and experienced with qualitative methods and techniques
  • An aptitude to think strategically and commercially; developing profound insights for clients
  • Excellent analysis and presentation skills; leading and developing pitches
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; as well as proposal writing
  • Considered a thought leader in the industry or sector; ideally some experience of writing papers, presenting at conferences, or publishing their work
  • Excellent attention to detail
