Capital Markets and Corporate Affairs:


Our clients strive to create value for their investors in an increasingly challenging environment. We strive to ensure their efforts are understood and appreciated by a diverse group of audiences.


Beyond a regular programme of capital markets communication we know clients need trusted, expert advice for major, strategic activities. IPOs require preparation and execution, the purpose of fund raisings made clear. Mergers and acquisitions need to be meticulously planned and explained.


We work in partnership with chief executives and their senior teams to help deliver the vision that powers their businesses.


We connect our clients with the financial community, the media, customers and employees with insight and expertise.


Role Overview:


We are looking for a Consultant to support the day-to-day management of an interesting portfolio of clients and to input to and pitch presentations.


The widely acknowledged and respected Consumer team at Instinctif are seeking to recruit a bright, enthusiastic candidate to assist the team and further its growth. We are a successful, busy, hardworking, but fun team acting for companies that have hospitality running in their veins.


The team currently advises some of the highest profile brands in the sector and has about 25 clients which are a mix of public and private companies, 11 of which are FTSE 250 size.  The Consumer team is an important component of the Capital Markets and Corporate division of Instinctif.


Current clients include:


AG Barr, ASOS, Fuller’s, Marston’s, Parkdean Resorts, Stonegate, The Gym Group, Loungers to name a few that undoubtedly you will have heard of. The team has advised on the only IPO in the sector this year and played its part in some exciting M&A projects. We have a strong pipeline of future transactions.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • To provide mid-level advice to clients
  • To support clients through their financial calendar
  • To prepare written materials that may be of key commercial or highly sensitive nature
  • To deliver coaching to clients, either formally in media training/ presentation skills
  • To pitch stories to business journalists
  • To draft a complex announcement (such as results statements) to a good standard
  • To assist in drafting new business proposals and initiate new business approaches
  • To develop a network of analysts, brokers and bankers to seek new business leads
  • To build relationships within the wider Instinctif Partners group and work with other parts of the group
  • To give final approval of work produced by more junior team members, providing feedback and coaching as applicable
  • To develop and execute creative ideas to support clients’ business objectives
  • To run client/ media calls or meetings (and to know when to intervene)


Work Experience:



  • 2-3 years’ work experience in an office environment.


  • Experience in a PR, Consultancy or other Agency environment would be an advantage.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ideally degree educated in any discipline.
  • Core competencies in word, power point and excel
  • Some knowledge of the consumer sector
