IPOs require preparation and execution, the purpose of fund raisings made clear. Mergers and acquisitions need to be meticulously planned and explained. We work in partnership with Chief Executives and their senior teams to help deliver the vision that powers their businesses. We connect our clients with the financial community, the media, customers and employees with insight and expertise


Role Overview:

We are looking for an Associate Partner to join Instinctif Partners. You will be part of a team focusing on a portfolio of circa 6-8 clients each. You will be responsible for managing the day to day activity of the client and managing the relationship. This team focuses on clients within the Energy, Natural Resources, Aerospace and Transport sectors in principle, although you are likely to take on broader sector challenges. Therefore, experience in these sectors would be an advantage.


You will be responsible for delivering consistent quality control management over all client activities. You will be required to demonstrate commercial awareness, including understanding of service level against fee income. You should have comprehensive knowledge of financial communications and regulatory best practice. The successful candidate will be representing Instinctif Partners at relevant industry forums, conferences and seminars. You should expect to be enthusiastic about participating in marketing and winning new business.

  • Gives high level strategic advice
  • Delivers coaching to clients, either formally in media training/presentation skills workshops for example, or informal sessions
  • Utilises knowledge gained and shares best practice advice across the Instinctif business
  • Builds own network of intermediary and sector contacts for new business prospecting
  • Represents Instinctif Partners at relevant industry forums, conferences and seminars



  • Demonstrates commercial awareness, including understanding of service level against fee income – takes the initiative and responsibility for raising is
  • sues as necessary
  • Ensures client teams manage clients in line with expectations
  • Promotes client news internally via internal platforms
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the team/ Group financial reporting and achievement of KPIs



  • Manages direct reports – advising, mentoring and teaching as appropriate to ensure colleagues’ career progression
  • Understands and implements the Instinctif Partners appraisal process and if requested provides input for appraisals in a timely manner
  • Contributes to the Partners’ Forum
  • Fully participates in Instinctif Partners Academy of Excellence at the agreed level and seeks any other appropriate opportunities for personal development
  • Committed to developing leadership skills


Skills & Experience:



  • 4+ years’ work experience


  • Experience in a PR, Consultancy or other Agency environment would be an advantage.
  • Experience in Natural Resources, Energy, Transport, Aerospace, Defence or Industrials and other related experience in Banking, Broking, Finance, Law, Accountancy and Management/Marketing would be an advantage
  • Ideally 2:1 or above degree educated in any discipline.

Other Information:

  • Working Hours: 37.5 per week to be worked during normal business hours
  • Role holder must have the right to work in the UK;
