This role is based within the 100-strong UK Corporate & Capital Markets (CCM) business with opportunities to collaborate across the wider Instinctif Group. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in servicing the sector portfolio – taking day-to-day responsibility for managing successful client programmes – while contributing to the practice’s continued success through new business, marketing and team development.

We are looking for someone who is experienced in or passionate about working with financial and professional services brands, capable of bringing new ideas and creativity to solving our clients’ communications challenges in original and innovative ways.

The role

  • Fantastic opportunity to join the growing Financial and Professional Services sector practice – a major contributor to the UK CCM business and wider Group
  • High-quality client base offering the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of briefs including:
    • Issues-led campaigns, brand building and thought leadership (B2C/B2B)
    • Strategic positioning and corporate reputation management
    • Media relations and executive/spokesperson profile raising
    • Integrated digital communications and strategy development
    • Capital markets and financial communications
    • Multi-channel programmes working with Public Policy, Content & Creative, Film & Motion, Insight & Research and Innovation & Digital specialists as well as other sector practices
    • Multi-market activity working across Instinctif Partners’ international network
  • Client base spanning a broad range of subsectors including general insurance, life and pensions, wealth and asset management, fintech, banking and alternative finance, later life lending, financial planning and retirement, private equity, impact investing, mortgages and property finance, conveyancing, legal services and recruitment
  • Strong focus on personal development in a highly supportive culture, with access to formal training programmes and international network initiatives
  • Reporting to an Associate Partner or Partner
  • Location: 65 Gresham Street, London EC2V

Salary: Competitive, plus benefits (bonus scheme, pension and other benefits)

The candidate:

  • Experience of or motivated by working in the financial and professional services sector and keen to join an ambitious team
  • Experience of working in a successful consultancy or in-house position – ideally with experience of both B2C and B2B communications
  • Experience of managing client teams of various sizes – being a client’s daily point of contact, providing advice and guidance, and managing relationships
  • Focus on ensuring efficient, high quality day-to-day delivery of client programmes
  • Able to think strategically in maintaining momentum on client accounts
  • Able to draft written materials that are well-informed and audience appropriate, requiring minimal amends from senior team members
  • Comfortable working in a team and able to manage junior colleagues effectively
  • Able to plan and manage the organisation of client events
  • Able to recognise a crisis situation and know how to escalate response
  • Good understanding of the media, communication and business skills needed to run accounts
  • Good knowledge and understanding of digital communications
  • Appetite to participate in the development of organic and new business opportunities, proposals and pitch presentation.

As an Instinctif Partners Account Manager, you will have:
