Account Executive, Public Policy Dublin

Instinctif Partners Public Affairs Ireland is a leading government relations and public affairs consultancy in Ireland. Working with local and international companies, our role is to identify the trends, direction, and likely outcomes of various legislative and political initiatives in Ireland and to act on these initiatives in collaboration with our clients.


Working across a range of sectors and using our extensive knowledge of decision-making procedures in Ireland, we deliver a comprehensive service that includes policy analysis, engagement, strategic information services, advice, public relations campaigns, coalition building and profile-raising activities.


You will be reporting directly to your line manager whilst working across a range of client accounts. Specific responsibilities will include media and political monitoring, drafting briefing documents and biographies, researching policy, supporting on the development of collateral for stakeholder engagement and media programmes as well as assisting the wider team in their day to day work.


Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented, ambitious and career driven Account Executive to support our exciting public affairs and public relations work in Dublin 2, Ireland. This position is perfect for someone who is interested in building a career in public relations and public affairs in a growing consultancy working across a wide range of sectors.



General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Support on the development of overall public affairs and public relations programmes for clients
  • Undertaking research and analysis on a range of national and local public policy issues
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of several accounts including administration, client handling and meeting deadlines
  • Build proactive and positive relationship with clients
  • Attend events on behalf of clients and report back
  • Build engagement with policy makers on behalf of clients
  • Support in drafting position papers, amendments, press releases, announcements, reports, and presentation materials, etc. under a tight timeframe
  • Provide support to drive new and existing business
  • Conduct new business research and be able to leverage your knowledge to present insightful analysis


Skills & Experience:

  • 3rd level degree, preferably in journalism, law, political communications, public policy or public relations
  • At least 6-12 months experience in a PA/PR consultancy or in-house environment is essential
  • Essential knowledge of Irish media and political system
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of digital communications and social media
  • Strong writing, formatting, and editing ability, with superb attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work across multiple, diverse sectors
  • Proven ability to work well as part of a small team and meet deadlines but also to use own initiative
  • Strong knowledge of Irish lobbying process
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel
