International recognition for Best ESG report at IR Magazine Europe Awards

Instinctif Partners’ longstanding collaboration with FTSE100 listed Polymetal International, has yielded yet another award this year, this time for Best ESG materiality report (small to mid-cap). Polymetal is a leading global gold producer and top five global silver producer. Its ESG reporting reflects the company’s high standards of governance and pro-active engagement with stakeholders – both ensuring a strong strategy and sustainable value creation.

Instinctif has been working with Polymetal for several years on their annual and sustainability reports, developing their alignment to international best practice standards and helping to articulate their material issues, strategy and purpose. Polymetal joined the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in 2018, becoming the first Russian company to be included in the Index. It has aligned its reporting with the best practice frameworks, including TCFD, SASB and GRI.

Daria Goncharova, Polymetal’s Chief Sustainability Officer, said: “We have been actively developing our ESG approach and disclosures in line with investors’ expectations and we are delighted to receive recognition from the IR Magazine Europe award panel for our ESG materiality reporting”.

Tatiana Ridley, Head of ESG Reporting at Instinctif, said: “Polymetal is committed to the highest standards of governance and this in turn ensures the company’s excellent work in the environment and social areas. We are very pleased that this work has been effectively communicated through ESG reporting. We would like to thank the IR Magazine Europe for the prestigious award and congratulate Polymetal’s team for this achievement”.
