Leading tech disrupter, Pupil, appoints Instinctif Partners to raise its profile

Pupil, the technology-led spatial data company, has appointed Instinctif Partners to raise its profile as a pioneering and fast growth proptech business. Founded in 2015 and led by co-founders James Marshall and Oliver Breach, Pupil has already proven itself across both the residential and commercial real estate markets.

Pupil’s award-winning technology currently powers two standalone products, Spec and Stak, which digitise residential and commercial real estate interiors respectively. Pupil’s game changing AI and proprietary software coupled with best-in-class hardware delivers incredible accuracy at unprecedented speed, challenging the outdated practices still widely used in property markets worldwide. The business is at an exciting juncture of its growth, scaling at a rapid pace and expanding into new markets and geographies; it already counts more than 10% of London’s estate agents among its customers and has a number of strategic partners around the world.

Pupil’s first product, Spec, has mapped the interiors of over 35,000 residential properties in London since 2019, while its commercial product Stak will move from pilot phase to official launch in the next few months.

Instinctif will blend its long-standing expertise in the real estate market with its growing capability in supporting tech-first businesses to engage agents, investors and homeowners on the value and benefits of these pioneering solutions.

An experienced team from Instinctif’s London HQ will work on the brief, led by Emily Luscombe, Group Head of Client Services, and supported by Jamie Till, Mike Norris, Hazel Bruce and Rosie Cohen. The team will report to Harry Turner, Director of Marketing and Communications at Pupil.

Harry Turner, Director of Marketing and Communications at Pupil, comments: “Pupil is at an incredibly exciting stage of its growth with the continued expansion of Spec and the introduction of Stak. We are an ambitious company keen to communicate with multiple audiences about the work we do, which will make a real, lasting, impact on the real estate industry. To do this, we needed a dynamic and strategic partner and we are thrilled to have selected Instinctif to fulfil this brief.”

Emily Luscombe, Group Head of Client Services at Instinctif Partners added: “We like to think of Instinctif as a mould breaker, challenging ourselves, our clients and industry to do things differently – so we leapt at the opportunity to help Pupil do the same. Technology is transforming so many of our clients’ businesses and presents fantastic reputational dividends with the right story. Pupil is at such an exciting stage of its journey, together we’re going to be able to really super-charge its growth potential.

This win adds further to the Instinctif Partners real estate capability and strengthens a substantial portfolio of clients in this sector including renowned brands such as Redrow Homes, Lifestory, Jackson-Stops and many others.
