Welcome to the last Instinctif Partners EU Elections Newsletter brought to you by our team in Brussels!

After seeing turnout for the 2019 European elections rise, it is now time to finalise political groups and decide on the next European Commission Presidency. More than 50% of EU citizens eligible to vote took part in the EU elections, the highest turnout in 20 years and the first time since the first direct elections in 1979 that turnout has increased!

Lead candidates will now try to form a majority in the European Parliament to support their bid. Meanwhile, EU heads of state and government are meeting today [28th May] for a Summit in Brussels to discuss the election results and start the nomination process for the Commission President, as well as the heads of other EU institutions.

Our new update provides you with relevant information on the winners of the elections, seats distribution for the new European Parliament, potential coalitions, EU countries’ results and political groups affiliations.
