Catalyst for change or scrapping over loose change?

Assessing the aftermath of the first Labour Budget for a generation

What happens next?

Written by Deputy Managing Director, Andy Lane.

Overall, the Budget demonstrated a bolder, more interventionist approach which is likely to result in real and ongoing change for UK Plc, the public and third sectors.

Our Navigating Labour team has been working closely with clients for over a year to help understand the opportunities and challenges presented by this evolving climate.

2025 is likely to bring unprecedent pivots for many sectors and regulated industries as the new Government’s policy direction gathers momentum and changes bed in. We anticipate a greater focus on regulation and higher expectations of business, alongside opportunities for collaboration with Government and the public sector.
