How do we use social media to gather customer data and develop our brand loyalty?

Challenge:
Use the launch of their flagship Covent Garden store to re-engage their customers and garner critical trend insights whilst keeping the theme of the launch party familiar and friendly, a nod to the family and friends that have helped grow The Cambridge Satchel Company over the years.

Action:
In advance of the store launch, we developed a social media campaign to provide more accurate customer data that can be used to upsell and re-market to customers. We developed a campaign concept that built on their strong British heritage and invited their global digital following into the family. Finally we designed a bold, simple creative style that was deployed across the entire campaign – a keyhole. We wanted to entice people in, to ‘Take a Peek’ at the new season collection, using #CSCinside and #CSCspotted, we gave people the ability to share their satchel pictures for a chance to win a one-of-kind satchel.

Result:
A new brand loyalty scheme was developed and crucial trend insights were gained via a new store opening party. Both competitions generated over 30,000 impressions and visits to The Cambridge Satchel Company homepage grew by 14% Facebook likes increased by 7,000.
