Managing Partner Sue Charles Named as a Mover/Shaker in BioBusiness 2016

Sue Charles, Managing Partner of Instinctif Partners Life Sciences practice has been named as one of most inspirational women working in Life Sciences in the 50 Movers & Shakers in BioBusiness 2016 report, which was launched today.

The report, published annually by BioBeat, aims to celebrate the 50 top women in UK biotechnology who are making the world healthy, transforming today’s challenges into tomorrow’s opportunities. They are the pioneers who are setting the pace in laboratories, healthcare, entrepreneurial companies, established Pharma, finance, advice and policy.

Launching the report, Miranda Weston-Smith, BioBeat Founder said “There are 25 Rising Stars alongside more senior colleagues, and they all share a common characteristic: they are all extraordinary leaders. These women are magnetic in their creativity and openness to change. And with this they are re-writing the boundaries and connections throughout the spectrum of life sciences and health.

Sue Charles commented, “The achievements by the 50 female Movers and Shakers in BioBusiness highlighted in the 2016 report are to be celebrated in their own right. But they are just the tip of the iceberg – alongside them are the thousands of talented Britons across science, business and finance working to maintain the UK’s leadership position in the global bio-economy.”

An entrepreneur, Sue has founded and grown leading communications consultancies, advising companies both small and large, as well as organisations including academic, investor and not-for-profits. With an academic career in biochemistry and an MBA, Sue has focused on supporting companies at the interface of innovation and wealth creation, promoting ground-breaking science and medical technologies.

Sue has been Managing Partner at Instinctif Partners since 2007, when Northbank Communications, a specialist life sciences business communications consultancy of which she was CEO and co-founder, was acquired.

Over her 30 years in the biotech industry Sue has pioneered and innovated best practice in communications, helping to securing positive engagement for biotech amongst its numerous audiences. “Clear and inclusive communications is vital to winning public, industry and investor trust, especially important through times of change and uncertainty” she said.

“Instinctif prides itself on being forward thinking, fast moving and entrepreneurial. Our clients benefit from the fact that our senior team are highly experienced consultants, recognised as leaders in their fields. Sue is a great example of this and this recognition is well deserved” said Richard Nichols, Instinctif Partners CEO.
